Hetfield fried himself 'round about 1993-1994, which was the "Black Album" era, indeed. Over ten years ago, anyway. They said that, had he been inhaling when the explosion occured, he would have died.

I pretty much stopped listening to them after "And Justice"

I've heard the songs off of every CD since, but didn't care for any of them and didn't really follow their goings-on either.

I remembered seeing him with his arm in a sling and someone else playing guitar, but I thought it was a motorcycle accident or something.

I must have seen the pic and thought it was from that event.

Hey!!! I just heard that the Drummer for Def Leppard lost an ARM!!! [img]wink.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I do remember MTV saying that the drummer was dead... and having to change the story the next day. "I'm not dead yet... a flesh wound... I've had worse..." [img]wink.gif[/img]

and apparently, said one-armed drummer punched out Glenn Danzig, which is a good thing.
although I don't know if it was beofre or after his one-armedness.
